Major movements become gentle. Minor movements become buoyant

This concept provides a unique kind of freedom as the user sits “in a position to tip the scale” and is thereby inspired to shift posture. The tilting points are the point of contact between the four spiral springs and the floor.

If we compare this concept with the InBalance (centre tilt) or runner concept, this has a more distinct change between the three sitting angles. The four coils generate a floating feeling, the sitter is released or liberated from the floor. Using spiral springs as a transitional mechanism between static and moving solutions has the added advantage that the chairs quickly and easily respond to the body’s “desire” for very slight movements while we sit. They also provide a smooth transition between the different tilt angles.
